Tailgating is one of our favorite fall activities. We love pre-game festivities with friends and family before kickoff. Sometimes the tailgate is even more fun than the game...
Tailgating does present the challenge of entertaining in a parking lot. The right gear and ice are crucial to a successful and stress-free tailgate. We compiled a master list of gear to help streamline our planning and packing. This list was typed out several years ago after we realized we would write out a list each year and then hope we didn't forget anything. We hope this list helps you organize your next tailgate.
We plan out our menu to feature food that can be easily eaten while standing. Check out our pinterest board for ideas and recipes. Our go-to main dishes have included pulled pork sliders, mini meatball subs, fried chicken, chili, brats and sausages. We also serve an assorted selection of snacks and desserts. Fan favorites are cheese and crackers, smokies, chips and salsa, popcorn, taco dip, shelled peanuts, any kind of bar cookies, deep fried twinkies, cupcakes and chocolate caramel pretzel bark. Of course, no tailgate would be complete without drinks. We like to feature a signature drink and have made Bloody Mary mix from scratch and spiked hot apple cider with caramel sauce.
